Lancement de la Forêt de la
Communion
Le mercredi 3 août, dans le jardin du palais de Lambeth, la Forêt de la Communion (Communion Forest) a été lancée. Des centaines d'évêques de la Communion Anglicane, réunis pour la Conférence de Lambeth,
leurs conjoints et des invités se sont joints à la prière et à l'engagement en faveur de cette initiative. Le court service a été dirigé par l'archevêque de Canterbury Justin Welby et (à ce
moment-là ) l'Archevêque d'Amérique Centrale
Julio Murray, qui est l'évêque principal de la Communion Anglicane pour l'environnement et le président du Réseau Environnemental de la Communion Anglicane. Ils étaient accompagnés de leurs conjoints, de la militante kenyane pour le climat Elizabeth Wathuti, de dirigeants
anglicans indigènes, d'évêques de l’articulation des Evêques pour la Justice Environnemental (Eco-Bishops) de toute la Communion Anglicane et d'autres personnes ayant participé à l'élaboration de cette initiative.
